WE SIT DOWN WITH VICTORIA MCTAVISH TO EMBRACE EQUITY
In support of International Women’s Day, we sat down with our Senior Brand Designer & Project Coordinator Victoria McTavish to discuss her take on workplace equity.
Although Victoria has come from the design industry, as part of her role at asset, she also gets involved in many different projects including recruitment, HR, employee wellbeing as well as health & safety. The industries Victoria has been a part of over the years have been predominantly male orientated, and ensuring that everyone (regardless of gender) is respected and treated equally has always been her main goal throughout her career.
Victoria also commented on the increase she has experienced in the number of females entering the design and engineering sectors in recent years. She believes the key to diversification is educating the industry, employers and employees on the equity of an individual, in terms of ensuring that everybody has equal rights and is treated fairly.
