Being involved with the Supply Chain Sustainability School has been a great experience so far. Here at Asset International Structures, we strive for excellence in helping to build a sustainable planet. Sustainability is a key driver for us, and it's great to see our MD leading by example. • PURPLE DAY FOR PAPYRUS PREVENTION OF YOUNG SUICIDE

RAISING MONEY TO SUPPORT PAPYRUS PREVENTION OF YOUNG SUICIDE On 15th December 2022, we took part in a 'Wear Purple to Work Day' in support of PAPYRUS (Prevention of Young Suicide). PAPYRUS exists to reduce the number of young people who take their own lives, by shattering the stigma surrounding suicide and equipping young people and their communities with the skills to recognise and respond to emotional distress. Every member of staff fully embraced the spirit of the event and did the company proud, as you can see from the images below: We set up a JustGiving page in aid of the charity, and it was so well received that we extended it by a further month, into January 2023. We set a goal as a company of £1,000, and ended up raising a whopping £1,660! We have been blown away by the reception and response, and would like to sincerely thank every single person who helped us to not only reach, but smash our goal... Are you, or is a young person you know, not coping with life? For confidential suicide prevention advice, please visit: https://www.papyrus-uk.org/

  • INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2023

WE SIT DOWN WITH VICTORIA MCTAVISH TO EMBRACE EQUITY In support of International Women’s Day, we sat down with our Senior Brand Designer & Project Coordinator Victoria McTavish to discuss her take on workplace equity. Although Victoria has come from the design industry, as part of her role at asset, she also gets involved in many different projects including recruitment, HR, employee wellbeing as well as health & safety. The industries Victoria has been a part of over the years have been predominantly male orientated, and ensuring that everyone (regardless of gender) is respected and treated equally has always been her main goal throughout her career. Victoria also commented on the increase she has experienced in the number of females entering the design and engineering sectors in recent years. She believes the key to diversification is educating the industry, employers and employees on the equity of an individual, in terms of ensuring that everybody has equal rights and is treated fairly.
