  • ASSET DONATE TO LOCAL COMMUNITY RADIO STUDIO

COMPUTER MONITORS DONATED TO ABLE RADIO, BASED IN CWMBRAN As part of our ongoing ESG focus, we not only encourage internal wellbeing initiatives, but also strive to contribute to our local community. After being introduced to Cwmbran-based life skills centre Able by our Sales Manager for Concrete Sean Pattimore (a board member at Able), we had a think about how we could contribute. Able was founded in 2006 by a group of volunteers passionate about improving the everyday lives of individuals with additional learning needs. Starting as a radio station, the enterprise has grown rapidly, and now plays a pivotal role within the community. Providing everything from radio production, podcast broadcasting, music lessons and horticulture sessions to name a few activities, Able empower every single individual and give them a voice. To coincide with the launch of two new world class radio studios (thanks to funding from the National Lottery), we are proud to donate three computer monitors for the team to use in conjunction with their various media projects. Able offer a wide range of opportunities to people with learning disabilities and neurodiverse conditions, and to contribute towards this fantastic cause is very important to us as a people centric business also based in the Cwmbran area. Shaun O'Dwyer, Managing Director at Able, commented: “We are so pleased to have received these monitors from asset International Structures. To see business’ from across the UK and locally support the incredible work at Able is truly humbling.” For more information about Able and the amazing work they do each and every day, please visit: www.able.wales.
